About the instructor

Henry (Hank) Williams is a PhD candidate (ABD) at the CUNY Graduate Center. He has an M.Phil in English from the CUNY Graduate Center and BA in Media and Communications from the City College of New York. He was a 2011-12 Diversity Fellow at SUNY Purchase and has taught at CUNY’s Lehman College, City College of New York, and Hunter Colleges in the English, SEEK, and Sociology departments, respectively as well as for NYU’s Gallatin School for Individualized Study.

He currently teaches courses in African and African American Studies and English at Lehman and Africana, Puerto Rican and Latin@ Studies at Hunter College.
